This great cereal very long grains, has remarkable nutritional qualities. MARKAL has developed its own ancient durum wheat sector, varitey Khorasan. Our producer is based in Italy and has been with us since two generations.

Conseils d'utilisation

To reduce cooking time, soak the ancient durum wheat for 12 hours. Rinse the wheat then place it in 3 times its volume of lightly-salted water. Slowly bring to the boil then reduce to a simmer and cook for 45 minutes. Season to taste. Ancient durum wheat is eaten in the same manner as pasta and rice, as an accompaniment to vegetables, meat or fish. Keep in a cool, dry and dark place.
