Indica rice is native from Indonesia and Africa. It is a crystaline rice (without starch) and long. Long grain rice is 3 times longer than wide (more than 6 mm). After soaking, steaming and drying the structure of the starch grain is destroyed. The result is a light rice that does not stick and separates easily. This treatment allows the rice to retain an important nutrional value (spread of mineral salts and vitamins to the centre of the grain) after polishing. Parboiled rice is slightly translucent and yellowish.

Conseils d'utilisation

Allow approximately 60g rice per person. Place the rice in a saucepan and cover generously with cold water. Bring to the boil then cook over a medium heat for 12 minutes. Drain and rinse. This rice can be eaten hot alongside your vegetable, meat, and fish dishes. It can also be consumed cold in salads. Keep in a cool, dry and dark place.
