Wheat semolina is made from durum wheat grains. Coarse white durum wheat semolina can be used in cooking in different preparations, including semolina cakes, soups and couscous. It is also used to make pasta.

Place 1 volume of semolina in a salad bowl and add 1 volume of boiling water. Cover and leave to expand for 5–7 minutes. You can also cook the semolina by simmering for 10 minutes. Coarse white durum semolina will be perfect to make semolina cakes. Keep in a cool, dry and dark place.
