Suggestions: The nutty taste of this spread will be perfect on crepes, pancakes, or sourdough bread. Depending on your blender knife or chopper, the hazelnut may not be crushed sufficiently and a slight grainy feeling may remain in the dough. However, the taste will not be altered.
Most conventionally available spreads have a high content of refined sugars and saturated fats. In this artisanal version, the coral lentils limit the need for sweeteners and give it a lower glycemic index. We have also chosen to use raw foods such as brown cane sugar and whole hazelnuts. This spread therefore has a higher content of essential minerals such as magnesium, calcium and zinc. The presence of lentils makes it possible to enrich this spread with proteins, which can meet the needs of athletic people, children, or people who voluntarily limit their consumption of animal proteins, especially if it is eaten in bread or pancakes.
