Almond and fig drink

Step 1

Put the almonds and dried figs in a bowl.

Step 2

Cover with water and soak for 2 hours. After this time, drain the dried fruit.

Step 3

In a blender, add 500 ml of water and the almonds and fresh dried figs previously washed and peeled. Blend the preparation into a smooth purée. Mix.

Step 4

Using a fine strainer or sieve, filter the preparation into a container. Add the remaining water (500 ml).

Step 5

Seal your container and chill in the fridge until ready to serve.

Suggestions: This creamy drink can be kept for 3 days in the fridge. Add 10 g of agave syrup or another liquid sweetener if this drink is not sweet enough to your taste. Variants: You can vary the oilseeds by using hazelnuts or cashew nuts for example and using prunes for dried fruit.
Quick and easy to make, this creamy drink is a source of fibre and protein with fruit and almonds. It is suitable for a wide range of diets. Agave syrup can be optional, making it a naturally sweetened, low-sugar drink.
