Corsican Canistrelli with almonds & figs

Step 1

In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar and baking powder.

Step 2

Melt the coconut oil and add to the dry mixture. Next, add the pieces of almonds and dried figs and mix again to obtain a smooth mixture.

Step 3

Divide the dough into three pieces and shape into fingers about 15 cm long.

Step 4

Slightly flatten the fingers to 2 cm thick, then place them in a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Step 5

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C. Leave to cool then cut the dough pieces into small canistrelli.

Step 6

Bake again for 10 minutes at 170°C until golden brown!
